You are bidding an outstanding estate find, a small suitcase filled with Antique Folk Art and other types of small dolls. This lot includes everything you see in the photo, including the hat or doll carry case. The box has a wonderful paisley inside print, leather handle and marked on the clasp ASF BICo, brass hinges, one side is lower than the other side when closed. The dolls inside are extremely old and unique collection. T are two Russian dolls from the Solvit Union, cloth stockinette faces, hand painted features. The underskirt is marked Made in Solvit Union Kiazan Village Doll, cloth wrapped legs, hard stuffed bodies, wood missing from one foot on girl doll, and measure 6 inches. One pioneer looking women made of composition clay material, hand made dress and lace, cracking from age, both ankles are attached broken, need repair, measures 5 1/2 inches. One smaller child, all bisque with jointed shoulders and hips, has hard to read marks on the upper back and head base, maybe number 360 and Germany, both ankles are broken and attached, measures 3 1/2 inches, maybe an Armand Marseille. The last two are very Art Folk primitive looking. One is of a farmer made of cloth and burlap clothing and wood. This little guy is so old, that the two nails holding him to the wood base are flat hand made type. Measures 3 1/2 inches. The last doll is also primitive folk art type black Mammy from the South doll. This doll also is attached by flat hand made nail tack to wood base, paper label on bottom torn reads Mammy Lo. Face is missing, stands 3 inches. You receive a total of six antique dolls and carry case. What a great Christmas Present for a doll collector.
