Hawkwood Six String Bass Guitar. Hand-built in the wilds of East Anglia by Stephen White (who has maintained and serviced musical instruments and equipment for the likes of Uriah Heep and Suzi Quattro). As a result of my impending wedding and a need to thin my forest of guitars, you have the chance to pick up this guitar at a bargain price. the spec is as follows:- 6 String Medium Scale Bass Guitar. 870mm scale length. Mahogany body with book-matched bubinga top. The body has been shaped to allow easy access to the top frets and an exended upper horn to give balance when playing Neck is a 5 piece laminate of bubinga and wenge- Super stiff and fitted with a double action truss rod. Wenge fretboard bordered with rosewood purfling. Solid brass top nut and Warwick tuners. Neck is bolted to the body heel with stainless steel machine bolts threaded into brass inserts in the neck for a strong joint and mating sufaces. Fitted with a Musicman humbucking pickup and wired with a passive circuit for a classic tone. Neutrix locking jack socket. Solid brass, chromed bridge unit with top-loading for ease of string replacing.
