Six Victorian Painted Side Chairs. Beautiful old black painted side chairs out of an old Lancaster Co., PA farmhouse. Scroll shaped crestrail & vase shaped back splat have hand stenciled flower and leaf decorations in gold. Ring turns on stiles & legs are gold decorated. Seat is single molded plank board. Simple tapered baluster turned legs w box stretchers. Great crazing on crestrail and shield. Stencil appears to have been re-done. Imperfections (minor dings, dents scrapes) typical of 100+ year old chairs. No missing color, no loose joints. Ca.: late 1800s. Dimensions/Weight: 32.8Hx18.8Wx16.5D(17*)/10lbs. #CR031511RD1.
