You are bidding on 2 books , one has a few small white paint on cover. Charles Dickens 1854 Sketches By Boz . Published by TB Peterson, yet on spine of books states TB Peterson and Bros. Volume 1 and Volume 2. These books belonged to Charles L Beach of Catskill Mountain Railway President. Volume one signed C.L. Beach Oct. 1860. Volume 2 signed C.L. Beach Catskills. On both brown book covers "Peterson's Uniform Duodecimo Edition of Complete Works of Charles Dickens " "Boz" .There is no publish dates in books, though my research confirms these books were published in 1854 and volume two 1857. I found only one copy online by TB Peterson and Brothers, offering the same First edition listed here for 295.00 F rom Gadshill (Providence, RI, U.S.A.) Volume 1 Published by Philadelphia, PA. T. B. Peterson. ND. [ca. ]., 1854 Tissue paper still intact in book.
