For your consideration is a 6 gallon hand turned butter churn made by Red Wing Union Stoneware of Red Wing, Minnesota. The ski oval is 2 7/8" wide and it placed above the Red Wing, which is 6" wide. An oval like on this churn, indicates manufacture early in the wing era and can also be found on items decorated with Elephant Ear Leaves and Birch Leaves. It would use a lid with a diameter of 8 3/4" (or slightly less). The height is 17 7/8". The exterior of the bottom is slightly more than 10 1/2". There are 0 cracks and 0 chips, however there are stains on the interior.
