Skinning/ Hide Scraping Knife. Pre-1900 designation. Iron blade used for scraping the hide off of a carcass or other hunting purposes. Hand forged iron is heavily pitted but structurally very sound(please see pictue). The wooden handle is in excellent condition with a hand tooled,chiseled design on the end. Incised lines encompass the primitive design(please see picture). The wooden handle has no scratches, nicks and is hand planed with clear evidence of handwork. The scabbard is beautifully hand tooled also. T is a geometric design on the end(please see picture). Masterfully handworked the trim is naturally dyed and is finished in a herringbone braid weave. The scabbard has two small nicks on the neck. Measuring a formidable 12" blade and total with the handle 16".Shipping in the U.S. will be 10.95 including insurance. Thank you for your consideration.
