Here comes a real beauty. Stamp/badge, a new ENGRAVING of the stamp from 1942 "Gustav III."(S.Ewert). In the 1970's Czeslaw Slania has been asked to make (engrave) some tools, to make some series of poststamps in gold, silver and bronse. He made some engravings for the company "Guldfynd Plakett AB", a swedish firm. Not only of his own stamps, even of some swedish "classics", as this one. The company wanted to make the batches/stamps 50% bigger then the originals, that's why Mister Slania had to do the new engravings to this series ( 34,5mm x 37,1 mm) . There exists only a very small, strictly limited edition. This one is LIMITED to 2000 (!!) copies, its number is 216. The "stamps" (badges) are beautifully engraved. You can see on the scan, there is a description in swedisch on the backside of the badge. The stamp/badge is in a sweet little collectors-box. On its backside is some information about the engraver of the original engraving from 1942 and the Slania engraving (for "Guldfynd") from 1977. I put in a third scan, its from the silver edition of this stamp (not to sale here), just so You can compare. A VERY EXCLUSIVE COLLECTORS - ITEM, VERY HARD TO FIND. After the making of the gold-, silver- and bronseengravings, when the work was finished, the tools were officially destroyed. Please look on my other auctions , You may find interesting stuff there ! I always try to make the costs as little as possible (postage). If You buy more items, the costs for postage will be much lower, of course ! PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE, ASK THEM ! I WILL GLADLY HELP YOU IN ANY WAY I CAN.
