An excellent price for this new & detailed figurine. The quality & detail are excellent.....a figurine you will be proud to display in a home or business setting. A large & heavy piece that measures 9" long x 4" high x 3 1/2" wide & weighs 1 lb. 9 oz. It has a solid wood base with protectors on the bottom for furniture.....the top is made of Polystone. The detail is amazing......t is no doubt these dogs are running.....muscles on their backside stand out.....feet are dipped into the snow for the next lung forward. T are provisions covered with a blue tarp strapped to the sled for the musher & dogs.....the tarp has wrinkles & bulges that indicate it is full. Dog teams played a vital role linking Alaskan villages as the primary mode of transportation of both people & the famous Penicillin run of 1914 from Anchorage to Nome . In recent years, snowmobiles have largely replaced the dog sled as the Eskimo's primary mode of transportation & mushing is mostly a recreational sport. A tradition that continues through today as the "Iditarod, the Last Great Race" has become so popular & watched on TV by people all over the world. A very heavy piece & fits Priority Mail flat rate box which makes mailing cost very reasonable. US insurance fees in the amount of $1.35 are included in US Priority Mail cost of $9.90.
