This chair was made by Swed-Form in the 1970's, Sweden. The modular frame is constructed of nickel plated, real steel tubing. The "sling" is made of heavy-duty canvas twill. The tailored, ultra plush (6" thick) cushions are upholstered in luxurious dark charcoal corduroy. Pictures were taken outdoors because the dark (almost black) upholstery absorbed all the light, while the chrome tended to reflect it. The pictures don't due justice to this chair. It's the perfect blend of ultra mod looks and plush comfort. Measures 38" wide, 33" deep and 28" tall. This sleek, low slung chair has a low seat of just 14" off the floor. The canvas is faded w it rest on the tubular frame (covered by the cushions). It removes and should be easy to re-dye (in Black). The upholstery has typical signs of wear associated with the vintage. T are a couple of stains, but the bends in the design along with the buttons sufficiently conceal them. The high caliber tubing shows little signs of wear. Overall, excellent vintage condition. A "one of a kind" addition to any modern space. Happy Bidding. This piece will be broken down for shipping purposes, even so it's a very large box, hence the shipping cost. Some easy assembly required. After breaking down the chair for shipping, we were able to lower the shipping cost substantially. Because we have a bid, we are not able to change it in the listing but be aware that shipping will be $40.50. Do not pay an automated invoice that has the higher shipping amount.
