Mid 1940's Slingerland Radio King in Black Diamond Pearl Finish. � Desirable 16 lug 3 pt, Size is 7 1/4" x 14 and is a nice 1 ply maple shell. � I got these from the original owner who used them in a big band from the 40;s to the early 70's and they have sat ever since. � Shell is in round, reinforcing rings fit tight and heads fit on with no issues. � Measures anywhere from 13 7/8" to 14". � Nice early 3 point strainer with the slingerland stamped arm. � Still has the original wires and they work perfectly. � All original parts. � No extra holes. � Finish has faded slightly. � Nickle hardware has a nice luster but does have some pitting. Drum tunes up great. � Even pitch without funky overtones. � Probably because the drum is pretty much in round. � Plays great. � Big open drum with a fat crack on the back beat. Only issue is a little repair of the covering that is hidden under the hoop/head. These are getting harder and harder to find. � BDP is much more rare than WMP. � Nice addition to any collection. � Buyer pays shipping of $20 in the US and $85 overseas.
