This is a great lot of books for any gun collector, war buff and even avid hunter. All of the books contain lots and lots of photos and illustrations. I didn't list as many of the photos as I would have liked due to Ebay guidelines concerning pictures of firearms. If you would like more photos, just let me know and I can email them to you. This paperback was limited to coverage of the weapons of the major combatant nations in World War ll. Through the intervening years, the book, now this book, "Small Arms of the World", has grown in scope and size and currently covers every military small arm of significant usage in the world today. This 1969 edition by W. H. B. Smith, also covers developmental weapons, plus a section of sporting arms now by George Nonte. T are 768 pages of detailed info and photos, including weapon breakdowns, of small arms from countries all over this world. This book is in very good condition with some minor shelf wear to edges and corners of cover. T is a book plate on inside of front cover. "Winchester - The Gun That Won The West" by Harold F. Williamson. This is the 1967 edition, 6th printing. This 494 page book tells the history of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. Chapters include: An Industry in TransitionGaining a FootholdThe Struggle for LeadershipConsolidation of Position 1881-1889Rewards of Leadership 1890-1914Winchester and World War l 1914-1918Postwar Experiment 1919-1924Retreat From Postwar Experiment 1924-1931Includes detailed appendixes which give stats, serial numbers, etc.. What great reading about a great gun. Book is in very good condition with some minor shelf wear to edges and corners of cover."The Fireside Book of Guns" by Larry Koller. Published in 1959, this 284 page book covers war and hunting guns. Full of great color pictures, including some famous paintings. T are 3 basic parts to this book. WORK AND WAR tells how the ingenuity of gunmakers met the clamorous demand for ever better firearms to wrest a beachhead in the New World, to conquer the Indian, to fashion a colonial empire; how the Americans labored with guns at the ready, to gather furs and hides, land and gold, how they founded an independent nation in one war and preserved it in another. ROUGH AND READY tells how firearms, mostly handguns served gentlemen and more commonly bred hotheads in settling affronts to honor; how, in the hands of pirates, rustlers, and stagecoach robbers, they became a law unto themselves; and how, in the hands of peace officers (who also used shotguns and did not always fire face to face), they brought peace to the West. T is some slight shelf wear to cover, mainly on edges and corners of cover."6th Edition Gun Digest Treasury", featuring the Best from 40 years of Gun Digest. Included are complete indexes to all issues of: Gun Digest, Handloader's Digest, Guns Illustrated, and Gun Digest Hunting Annual. I believe this is the 1987 edition. Covers military and hunting. T are 320 pages of articles and great photos. The inside of this paperback book is in very good condition. T are some slight bends in the cover. I read more
