Small Arts & Crafts Style Tile in Mission Oak Frame

This auction is for a beautiful hand made TILE and FRAME.
The matte glazed porcelain landscape tile is 4 1/4" X 4 1/4" and has been hand tube lined. The design is adapted from a tile done in the 1920's by the J.B. Owens company. The glazes are matte textured and very similar to Grueby and Fulper glazes. In fact I took a close up of the tree green because it is so like a Grueby glaze. The tile is signed and dated on the back with the Lyn King logo, the signature that Lynette King (me), has been using for over 35 years on her studio pottery and tiles. The solid oak Mission Revival Frame is very well made, with mitered corners and spline joinery. In order to bring out the beauty of the wood this frame has been fumed, stained and polished in. It is 7 3/4" X 7 3/4" X 1" thick and has beautiful flecking. The finish is dark and looks antique. This piece will hang flush to the wall because of the keyhole cutout for hanging. I'm happy to answer any questions by email.
