An excellent sample of a very rare fossil. This excellent fossil Eurypterid, Eurypteris remipes was found near Fort Erie,Ontario. in the Upper Silurian Bertie Formation. Although diminuitive and incomplete, this 1 1/2" VENTRAL eurypterid is a very affordable entry into the "sea scorpion" market. This little guy is missing both paddles and it's telson, but is otherwise complete and in excellent condition. It's lying ventral side up shows nice detail. The length of the matrix is 5"x 2" x2" and weighs a modest 1 pound.
