A decorative silver cased pocket watch, with a signed fusee lever movement 'D.S. Henderson of Belfast', dating to 1879/80, in good condition and good working order, together with a Jewellers display box. The silver case is in good condition, hinges tight and covers snap shut, the rear cover springs open when the pendant button is pressed. The rear cover is highly decorated and has a blank central cartouche. The case is hallmarked for London, 1879/80, initials 'JW' (for Joseph Walton, case maker, London). The case is 45mm overall diameter, ignoring the stem. The enamel dial is in good overall condition, one very faint hairline/mark near the makers name. The dial is marked 'D.S. HENDERSON, BELFAST'. The bevelled glass crystal and hands are in good condition. The jewelled fusee lever movement is in good condition and working order, keeping time to within approx 10mins in 24 hours, runs a little sluggishly so would benefit from a service. The movement is signed 'D.S. Henderson, BELFAST' and numbered '13162'. The movement is key wind and set which work fine, modern key included (2 keys included as the wind and set are slightly different sizes). Rare Belfast fusee.
