Hola! Welcome to Mayan Mountain. We started off in Copan Ruinas, Honduras in 2007 giving hiking tours to waterfalls, Mayan ruins, coffee farms, modern day Mayan villages and women's cooperatives. With the help of eBay, Etsy, and our website, we bring to the world the amazing handmade crafts of Central America. All of our items are hand selected by us, and in the true spirit of Fair Trade, the artisans are paid their asking price for their work, which is made in a cooperative, or in their home or workshop. STONE CARVING OF MAYAN HAAB CALENDAR This Mayan Calendar was carved from stone by an artisan in Copan Ruinas, Honduras.The Haab is the Mayan solar calendar made up of 18 months of 20 days each plus a five day period known as the "nameless days" or Wayeb'. In the center is the "zotz" bat, which was the name glyph for Copan. This calendar measures about 7 inches across and 1/2 inch thick. It has two holes at the top so it can be hung from a cord on the wall. Be sure to add us to your favorites list !
