This is a nice smalltown jug, It reads O. C. Richardson distiller Guston, ky. This is a little town in Meade co.Ky. The jug has good writing (stencil), But it has a repaired handle, And the handle has a crack,This is a hard jug to find so i'm listing it with a reserve, Also the jug has a small chunk out of the bottom , But this is not a crack and doesn't show from the side, This is a 1/2 gallon jug .It stands 9 " tall. The top has NO DAMAGE , It doesn't have glaze all the way up and t is some stain on it. The line going around it is from when it was fired, They would sometimes run a wire around the jugs if they were soft clay, So it wouldn't blow out in the kiln.
