Up for sale is an original Smiley pig cookie jar with the coveted GOLD TRIM! I'll keep this simple - if you are looking for Smiley, then you know the story :) The one's with the gold trim were the ''seconds'' that they put gold on to make them worth more. This jar is in LIKE NEW condition - it has always been stored, never used. It has the original sticker that says ''hand painted, fired ceramic colors, 22 karat gold'', and the gold trim is NOT worn off in the least. The only damage that I could find was a TINY chip in the unglazed area of the bottom along the edge, and that is just a TINY chip. I can see no crazing in the glaze, and the original painter did a very nice job with a good coat of color on the ''bandana'', not a scarce coat of color like you see in a lot of these jars! T are a couple flaws that were done in the glazing process like a small blob of ceramic on the back of his leg that was glazed over (which is probably why he was a 'second' and got the gold trim!) The bottom of the jar does have the USA stamp, my camera just did not catch it very well. Shipping price includes packaging/handling costs. This item will ship only to CONFIRMED addresses if you use PayPal for payment. If you pay with money order or cashier check, allow for time for it to clear before shipping.
