VINTAGE 1940'S SHAWNEE POTTERY 'SMILEY THE PIG' COOKIE JAR WITH A RED PAINTED SCARF. The cookie jar is in very good condition for its age. It stands about 11.5" tall, 8" wide, and weighs over 5 pounds. It still has some of its original paint which is an early cold painted red scarf over the glaze style jar and it has just the 'USA' mark on the bottom used in the 1940's. It's up to you if you want to give it your own personal paint touches or leave it as is. The piece does have a few areas of crazing around the feet, on the bottom, and on the underside of the head piece but not too bad. There is a small glaze chip on the right ear and a chip on the underside of the head piece (I included photos of any flaws that I see) but these are minor and do not detract from the jar in my opinion. Please look close at all photos to verify the condition of the piece. Please as I offer refunds and the item will be shipped with a tracking number.
