Smiling Through #408 "This is the ninth redemption piece available only to members of the Goebel Collectors' Club. It was released in 1985 at $125.00 with redemption card. The mold number incised on the bottom of this figurine is actually 408/0. The reason for this is that a larger model was molded in 1976 but never released. I was made as a sample only and resides in the factory archives now. The larger version was 6" while the one released to club members is only 4 3/4". As of May 31, 1987 they are available only on the secondary market." This description is taken from the book "Luckey's Hummel Figurines and Plates". This Hummel figurine is in mint condition, still in the original box, with the original packing and paperwork and is Special Edition No. 9. Buyer to pay shipping and handling charges and optional insurance. Seller not responsible for loss or damage if insurance is not taken.
