Smoking" 2034 I've ground down a Lionel smoke unit to fit inside this originally, nonsmoking, locomotive. The smoke puffs out; it does not just drift out. At times, there are smoke rings! In place of an incandescent bulb, now there is a bright LED that should never burn out. I've drilled the cast metal so I could install cotter pins to accept piano wire for railings. The wheels have been quartered so I could install a connecting rod on each side beside the driving rod. Two coats of Rustoleum light green paint cover the cast metal. Polyurethane protects the finish.
