*History - This was recently sold via eBay auction but the buyer did not pay. This is a very unique, original and one of a kind piece. Serious buyers only. This is original and recent art by Joe Johnston of a Snow Walker head. Johnston is the original conceptual designer of the Snow Walker. During the creation of Star Wars, George Lucas described the purpose of a machine and then often Joe Johnston would create it. George doesn't draw, so that's where Johnston came in as a creative artist. Johnston would integrate his industrial design background to then create and design George's description, in this case, of the machine's purpose. This sketch of a snow walker head also includes "doodles" above it. Joe will sign inside the box on the left if the winner would like for him to do so. Johnston recently drew this as simple practice after many years of mostly drawing only thumbnail sketches for films. This is a Snow Walker study for a poster he is designing. Since Joe began selling items on eBay under MoJo1316 (now JoeJohnstonSketchbook) many people have inquired about original pieces of new artwork, even if only a doodle.
