Socialist Magazine "The Agitator" from 1903 John Spargo on Child LaborPublished by its big sister, The Comrade Illustrated Socialist Monthly Magazine, the vest pocket Agitator (Vol. 1, No. 4, Feb. 1903) bills itself as "A Little Schoolmaster in the Science of Socialism." It contains poetry, an article by John Spargo on child labor, great illustrations, and brief articles by W.R. Fox, Emile Zola, William Morris, and William Dean Howells, as well as an article on British trade unions. This scarce little number is in great shape, still in its bright red tissue wrappings, some slight bleeding from same on front an back covers, and clean inside pages with a few minor creases at the corners.High bidder pays 3.50 for shipping.Check my other auctions this week for rare Socialist, Anarchist, and Communist periodicals, newspapers, and autographs.
