Society of Medalists Bronze Medal - Issue 22, 1940, Walker Hancock Other TowersThis was the twenty-second issue of The Society of Medalists, released in 1940. The sculptor is Walker Hancock. It has been struck in bronze and is 73 mm (approx. 2 7/8") in diameter.The obverse is a pair of muscular nude men raising a pillar. Along the top rim is inscribed "There Will Be Other Towers". The rest of the line is finished at the bottom with "For Thee To Build". Hancock's name appears just above the land line, at the lower left. The reverse shows a broken oak stump with two saplings growing out of the base, at either side. The medal in the photos is the one being offered. I invite you to hav a good look before buying. The medal is being offered just as shown, with no box or descriptive pamphlet. It will be carefully packaged for shipment in a non-PVC plastic flip. All items ship within 24 hours of receipt of cleared payment! Sundays and Postal holidays, excepted. There will be no additional charge for standard shipping and insurance, within the U.S. Priority Mail shipping is available at an additional cost. See "Shipping" for details.
