The ONLY accurate and up to date scale models of the solar system on the market are manufactured by Educational Products of Virginia. Model 101 includes the sun with attached clasps (26.5 inch diameter), the planets, major moons, the asteroid belt, the Kuiper belt and the officially recognized classification of objects called dwarf planets, Pluto, Eris and Ceres. All are mounted on clear acrylic rods and suspended over select pine bases, finished in an exquisite starry night effect. Model also includes 1 glass framed scale/distance chart in English / Metric, and a glass framed asteroid/Kuiper Belt fact chart. This model accurately depicts the way our solar system appears from space. The relationship of the sun, planets and moons are beautifully and accurately reflected in our models.
