Solid Mahogany English Dining Table plus 6 chairs. Purchasedin England ,brought to the states in 1990. We were told by the dealer that it was a late 1800's to early 1900's construction. The table is in good condition with a beautiful finish and can also be used as a lovely desk in a study. The table has a drop-down leaf - you pull apart the table and pull the leaf up (or drop it down) so it is self-contained - no worrying about w to store the leaf! My great-grandmother created needle-point pieces and they were stapled over the cushions (staples on the back) and at present we are trying to remove the needlepoint work w/o destroying it to be able to offer the cushion inserts. Because we are unsure if we will be able to do it, they are not included in this auction. The cost to make new inserts is relatively low I am told by a local upholestery shop.
