This auction is for a solid silver dressing table set in its original box made by William Aitken of Birmingham in the 1940's. Each piece is matching and bears the initial of Wm. Aitken - there are 4 pieces - the comb has hallmark Q 1940/41 - small clothes brush X 1947/48 and hair brush and mirror W 1946/47. All pieces have the same engine turned decoration - plain cartouche and the brush and mirror have a fancy decoration to the handles. In very good condition with nice clear hallmarks - comb holder needs straightening slightly and there is a minute dent to mirror - see pic. 2 but this does not detract from this lovely set - discounted postage - thanks for looking.
