This is a fantastic solid silver sugar bowl it has twin handles and has a scrolled design engraved on it on both sides. Inside one of these engravings is a set of initials (picture 6) the other side is blank inside. It is made by the renowned silversmiths, manufacturers and retailers; Walker and Hall. This is a great example of edwardian silver. This item is clearly hallmarked on the side at the top and hallmarks are all very clear and are as follows: W&H in a flag for Walker and Hall, a crown for sheffield, the Lion Passant, and an "h" for 1900. (see picture 5) It is also stamped underneath with the manufacturers / retailers name. This sugar bowl measures approx. 17.5 cm wide including handles, approx. 11.5 cm in height and is approx. 7 cm in depth. The sugar bowl is in fantastic used condition with very minor surface marks due to use and cleaning. This is consistent with age and use and in no way more than is expected of something of this age. It weighs approx. 334g although this is somewhat irrelevent given its condition and the maker. There is no reserve on this item so get bidding!!
