A solid silver hip flask in very good condition. It has the Birmingham hallmark for 1939-1940 & the silversmith's mark W.N LTD. The engine turning is excellent, there are no initials or engravings, there are a couple of tiny pinhead sized dings on the front & some dents on the base but all of the seams are good & the flask is liquid tight with no leaks. The bayonet fitting hinged cap has it's original cork & is also non leaking. Measures 3,7/8" (98mm) high with the lid closed. Weighs 3.65oz (103.5 grams). Possibly bought by someone going off to war.
