Solid Silver Beaten Sugar Bowl. Gift never used, Commissioned and Made by Derek Elliot of Harts of Chipping Campden in 1997 It is 7.5 cms high and 28 cms circumference at the widest point. Weighs 288 grams [ using domestic scales] GH London Hall Mark: Lion Mask and X [1997] DSE Harts of Chipping Campden are the last remaining remnants of the Guild of Handicraft which C R Ashbee established in 1888, George Hart was a silver smith with Guild when it moved to Chipping Campden in1902, In 1912 he took on the running of the workshop and his high tradition is carried on now by his grandson David Hart along with DEREK ELLIOT This bowl is pristine
