I have for auction a fabulous matched, boxed set of 6 sterling silver teaspoons by Edward Viner. They are fully hallmarked for Sheffield though the date letters vary, 4 are V for 1963, one is U for 1962 and one is X for 1965.The last one on further inspection is a fraction bigger and heavier than the others though they are all the same pattern by the same maker. They are heavy gauge silver and the combined weight is 137 grams or 4.83 ounces. The measurements are 12.5cms or just under 5 inches long and 2.5 cms or 1 inch wide. They come in a lovely fitted black box with a red velvet base and a white satin top and there is very little wear to the exterior leather. A truly lovely set and with silver prices expected to rise, a worthwhile investment. The starting price is just over the current scrap silver price of 60p per gram plus the box price.
