Offered for your consideration is solid vintage custom hunting knife. The knife is completely unmarked, although it appears to have been crafted from a factory blade. It was built like a tank and is exceptionally sturdy. The blade features a full tapered tang The knife has seen light use and remains very solid. The carbon steel blade was crisply ground and has a mirrored finish. It has been sharpened and remains close to full. The edge is very nice and free of any nicks, chips, or damage. It remains sharp and ready for immediate use. The blade is completely free of any corrosion or pitting. there are no grinder marks, although the spine exhibits numerous light dings as shown. The oversized double guard is of thick nickel silver and is rock-solid. The blade was perfectly centered within the guard and the blade/guard junctions are very clean. The joints were silver soldered for a seamless fit. The thick handle is of black linen micarta and has a great feel. The thick scales were nicely shaped, perfectly fitted, and tightly pinned. The micarta was highly finished and the surfaces are silky-smooth. The handle is free of any cracks, chips, dings, or damage and shows almost no wear.The blade is 6" and the knife measures 10-1/4" in overall length. The sheath is the original and was handmade. Though not very refined, the sheath is very solid and was made to last. It was crafted from heavy leather and was hand stitched. It was also secured with rivets at the tip, throat, and belt loop. It shows just light wear and is problem-free. A unique and very solid custom hunter!! The knife will be shipped insured which is included in the shipping costs. I'll cover any additional insurance required by the purchase price. Please note that the shipping terms are five business days. I usually get things out much quicker, but due to health issues (Multiple Sclerosis) I have to allow for the occasional days when I'm not able to do much. Keep this in mind if trying to contact me as well. I will respond but at times it may take a bit longer. Sorry, but no international shipping.
