Gorgeous Solid Walnut Commode I believe it was made in the1800s. It appears to be walnut to me and t is no veneer. This is a thick piece of solid wood. Even the drawer bottom is approximately 5/16 inch. The width is 29 inches and is 16 inches deep. It is 29 inches tall. The back splash board is another 4 inches above the top surface. The wood that makes up the sides of the drawer is approximately 9/16 inches thick. It is joined to the carved front piece with handcut dovetail joinery. The carving on the drawers looks like chestnuts. T is a circular medallion between the two carved drawer handles. I have attempted to give you good pictures to make your decision. If you have more questions, please feel free to contact me. T is no key presently but I will do my best to find one that fits. Buyer pays for shipping, handling and insurance. I use FedEx which is sometimes cheaper for heavier packages in the lower 48 states. You may choose any other method of shipment. The final shipping weight will be approximately 50-55 pounds with packing. This must be insured when shipped. I will quote the winning person when I know their zipcode. I accept Paypal . Bidders outside of the United States must use Paypal as the method to pay. For American bidders I accept Payapl, money orders and personal checks. Checks are held until they clear. Money orders will ship promptly.
