From tip to handle this knife is 5-3/4" long. Sheath is leather and metal., tip and top ring. In great shape, nice and supple still. Marked on the blade with the Deer head shield, Rehwappen. Also marked Solingen Rostfrei. The handle is some type of stag horn with a metal cap at the end with two pins to hold it on. It does move slightly. The actual handle has a crack starting w the metal surrounding the end of the blade meets the stag horn, it is 1-1/4" long. Does not run the full length of the handle and is not loose. Blade appears sharp and does have some use scratches. From the Bledsoe-Kingman-Cormack-Brittain estate. 1800-1990's. In really great used condition. This family cherished their items.
