Tharsis dubius: This 6.5 inch specimen on a 6 x 9 inch plate comes from the world famous Jurassic Solnhofen "plattenkalk" plate limestone deposits of Eichstatt, Southern Germany. All the fins, gills, head most of the vertebrate and even some skin are well represented on this specimen. The matrix was cracked and repaired into five parts during shipping from Germany. Absolutely no enhancement of this specimen. Because of the cracks in the matrix I'll offer this Tharsis at a low opening price, much below the true value were it not repaired. In order to protect it, I'll also ship it in an attractive 12 x 8 inch glass enclosed riker mount. These deposits were formed in a warm salt-water lagoon. All kinds of plants and animals were incredibly well preserved, including soft bodied organisms and the world's most famous fossil Archeopteryx,. early bird. S&H $10.00 USA ($23.00 Int.)
