Solomon Bell, Strasburg, Tall Storage Jar Ready to add to your growing collection of quality stoneware is this wo nderful and unusual 11" Storage Jar made by Solomon Bell of Strasburg VA . Solomon Bell was one of the most famous of the Bell Family Potters, working as a potter in Strasburg from the early 1850's until his death in 1882. Dating to the 1870's, this beauty is S tamped with the 3 Line Stamp, "Solomon Bell, Strasburg, Va." This jar has exhibits a most unusual tall and narrow form-- being 11" tall and only 5 1/2" wide-- and having a graceful, flared neck. It has the form of an apothecary jar. Very Good Condition . Eight flakes and chips on the top and outside of the rim (1/8" to 1/4") and two 1/2" chips on the top and outside of the rim. No hairlines, cracks, stains, or repairs.
