Sonner,Strasburg, VA."This is the mark of Samuel Harrison Sonner who made pottery in Strasburg from approximately 1865 to 1897 (H. E. Comstock, The Pottery of the Shenandoah Valley Region , pp.471-473).This beauty features a Complete and Clear Pottery Stamp and Five Brushed Cobalt Comma Vines Around the Middle. Measures 9" tall.Excellent Condition . A 1/4" chip outside the rim. That's it! No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
