Original release, 81" x 81" folded six sheet poster for 1965 western classic, THE SONS OF KATIE ELDER , starring John Wayne, Dean Martin, Miachael Anderson Jr, Earl Holliman, George Kennedy and Martha Hyer. This film marked John Wayne's return to the screen four months after having a cancerous lung removed. To proved to audiences he hadn't "slowed down", he performed many fo his own stunts. The poster -- which is in four sections -- depicts the Elder brothers being ambushed by gunmen underneath a large tree. CONDITION: FINE/FINE+ with loght/moderate border edge, corner and fold wear; monor edge nicks; scattered pinholes. An exception poster for any Wayne collection. The Captain Bijou logo watermark does not appear on the actual poster. This is an original movie poster, not a reprint, reproduction, VHS video cassette or DVD!
