Auction is for a SONY CRF 150 13 band dual conversion radio complete with cover and factory power cord. This radio receives the following frequencies: LW 150-400Khz Standard AM broadcast, Standard FM, plus short wave frequencies 1.6-4.5; 4.7-5.3; 5.8-6.4; 7.0-7.6; 9.5-10.1; 11.6-12.2; 15-15.6; 17.5-18.1; 21.4-22; 25.5-26.1 MHz. This radio can be powered by six D cells or played on regular house current and I have played it on both. Cells fit in the SONY supplied white plastic tubes. This radio has individual bass/treble controls, broad/sharp selectivity switch, signal S meter, earphone jack, plus output jacks in the rear. The rear panel accepts 3 types of external antennas for different bands plus the built-in 7 section rod antenna. (it is straight as an arrow) The only negative thing is a small dent in the speaker grille that does not affect anything. History of this radio: This radio was purchased by a friend of mine who was a Colonel in Southeast Asia. He had the PX order this for him because he wanted to listen to AM radio stations in the U.S. and he said it served him well. This radio was still wrapped in a blanket within a storage trunk up to two weeks ago. I am listening to music on FM as I write this up and managed to set my watch on WWV by holding my finger to the short wave antenna connection on the rear. All controls seem to work smoothly and as they should, however, this is a piece of vintage electronics and is not guaranteed. This radio was made in Japan and seems to be very high quality and HEAVY. The short wave band switch is a turrent tuned affair that works quite well. I would keep this radio but I already have a Panasonic 9000 and do not need another, tfore I am selling this for my friend. This radio is quite a step above the Zenith TO's some bragg about. Paypal, MO, check all OK. NO RESERVE ON THIS NICE RADIO!!!! Note: Just got a phone call about manual-sorry do not have it. However, should the winner desire the Sony service manual I can photocopy and include it for a $15 charge. (its 14 miles to Office Max)
