This Sony AV-8650 was purchased from a local university. 's what we know about it: Unit powers on and forward, reverse & fastforward work The brake on the take up reel is not working the unit played a small portion of the video on the tape that came with it - then went fuzzy We could get signal through the machine and out to our monitor - but never got it to record one of the long plastic feet is broken on the bottom Ok - that's about as much as we know. Because we can do no further testing or repair - unit is being sold As-Is for parts or repair.
