This is a Vintage Sony SL - 5200 Beta Hi-Fi Stereo Video player Gold Nice with L&R Manual Separate Left and Right Adjustable Levels Stereo HQ VHS HiFi Video Stereo Recording Tape DEck . Yes I know I listed it in the Reel to reel area, because that is what it is closest to in recording quality. I use these like a Reel to reel recorder. I compared an audio only recording from my Stereo VHS that has no adjustable input levels and this one, and the one without adjustable levels recorded them at about 3db below the 0 mark, leaving all the potential usable decible area untouched. The big difference between this and most other Stereo VHS recorders is this has manual adjustable Left and right Audio levels. This is a great Medium for Taping Good old Analog Stuff and LP Records that you might have, or Cassette tapes on a super long tape that you can put on and just leave on. I Didn't really think about it till a couple of months ago, to use it like a Reel machine. Everything working fine and yes you could even record Video with it too , from a video source. The lights are great too and bright. Right now I am using a JVC 4 head VHS like this and The sound is unbelievable in this medium. Thanks for looking.
