MUST READ: This is an original, not a reproduction. This is for the album "Grave Dancer Union". Certified by the German version of the RIAA. Dimension of the award are approx. 19 1/2" (Tall) x 16" (Wide) X 1" (Deep). Frame is a wood finish that is gold in color but severly worn on the left side (about 10" of scratches) as shown in the last 2 pictures. Frame probably could use another layer of gold paint thus it is Sold as is. The award’s recipient will be engraved out per the strict instructions of the owner (we are just the consignment house). This is why the name on the award is obscured in the pictures. The owner has requested to do this in order to preserve their anonymity since they would like to sell this award privately and anonymously (and hence why they are using us as the consignment house). It is understood that the value of the award can be lessened by engraving out the original name and the owner of the award was informed of this and yet despite that, the owner insisted it be done that way. As a service that we provide, the high bidder has the right to engrave his/her name on a small metallic plate band that is glued over where the original name was engraved. If the high bidder requests that his/her name not be engraved onto a metallic plate band, the original name will be nonetheless engraved out and a blank metallic band will be glued over the original recipient’s name. In no instances will the original recipient’s name be divulged under the strict instructions of the owner. If the high bidder chooses the option of having his/her name engraved in, then there is a $45 engraving charge (that will be paid separately, above and beyond the final auction price as well as the S&H cost which are separate). This separate engraving in fee will be invoiced via Paypal separately from the award final price and S&H charge (and state tax if applicable). If the owner chooses the option of not having his/her name engraved in, while there is no charge, the consignment house still needs approximately 2 weeks to have original recipient’s name engraved out. The reason why it can take 2 weeks is that we can only take awards in on Saturday and pick them up the next Saturday. The engraving place often needs at least a week to do this given their current volume. Thus, the award will likely be sent out 2 to 3 weeks after payment is made. If for some reason the engraving out of the original name or the 2 to 3 week delay is a problem for you, please do us both a favor and not bid, as there will be no exceptions to the above policy per the strict instructions of the owner. If there are any doubts to the authenticity of any of the items, while we don’t have a certificate of authenticity, rest assured we have been selling music memorabilia on eBay for approximately 12 years and we wouldn’t have the spotless feedback rating that we have if we didn’t have satisfied buyers. The only thing we can divulge is that we have a network of present and past entertainment executives as consignment clients and that the original recipient is a direct client of ours, not thru an additional 3 rd party, and has a relationship that has spanned approximately 20 years in the music business. Unfortunately, that is all we are able to say about the owner.
