As you can see from the last photograph I have a huge amount of Parachute Regiment and military kit to sell.I am leaving the army after 20 years and whilst I have sold things during my career (see 100% feedback), as I leave the army for good it is time to just say farewell to everything rather than be sentimental. You are bidding on:A South African poncho. I've used this for over 10 years. It's awesome. The key thing is, whilst almost the same size as the British one (see pic draped over a double bed), the SA poncho is much thinner. It still does exactly as it's designed to, i.e. keep rain off you, even when it belts down, it's just not a 3 man lift. Especially the new MTP ones that are thicker than a roll mat and take up 1/2 a side pouch. I've always kept this in my webbing. 1) it doubles up as a stretcher, 2) it fits when others don't, & 3) I stay dry. I should add that I keep para chord in my webbing as well, bungees would be a bit much... I've shown in the pic where some of the side loops have been pulled out. That's just me trying to be flash and add another bungee pulled too tight. Key thing is that the 4 corners and centre loops are fully intact so you can pull it square or use poncho poles if you're in the open. I've demonstrated in the pic how small it goes. Will also throw in the MTP pouch in the pic as well. Happy to answer read more
