South Bend Model NO.47--excellent condition!! I have come across many Bamboo rods in my time and none have been in the shape that this rod is in. Everything about this rod looks as though it was purchased a year ago including the rod bag, which by the way is original. The tube is also original and besides a couple scratches is in beautiful condition as well. I fished this rod a few times for greenback cuts in the Colorado high country and loved it. Even a 12" cutthroat puts a bend in the rod. I love it and although I have some more expensive rods, this is my favorite because it's what most of our fathers or grandfathers fished with. It's such a classic and this one is impressive. I have not cleaned or restored it in any way and it is all original. The grip has a little patina which is natural for a rod that's 40+ years old. Anyway, I just can't say enough about this rod.....beautiful rod for a first time bamboo fisherman or for the collector. The feruls are perfect and pop beautifully when pulled apart.
