Chandler and others Complete 12 Volume Set Beautiful Gold Gilt embossed fine full leather binding. Gilt decorated front and spine, back is embossed only. Gilt page edge tops, other edges untrimmed. Nicely illustrated throughout, frontispieces in full color with tissue overlay. Richly colored marbled endpapers. Volume 1 is marked "Members Introductory Edition, Set No.72 Registered By Secretary". Published by The Southern Historical Publication Society, Richmond, Virginia Overall EXCELLENT clean condition, tight and sound, feels like they have been cared for with leather conditioner, clean crisp text. Most volumes look like they have never been opened. No marks, names or tears found. ELEGANT library shelf presentation - each book about 6.5" x 9.5" x 2", 24" shelf space We have looked thru most volumes and found minor foxing here and there, Vol. 8 has chips around fly sheet in the back, Volume 10 has light moisture stains and marbled sheets are stuck to covers, Vol.11 very light moisture spot and front fly sheet stuck, back marbled paper separated from binding.
