A Southern Federal Cherrywood Sugar Chest, early 19th c., Madison County, Kentucky, the lift top with breadboard ends opening to a divided interior, low drawer raised on well-turned tapering legs ending in button feet; interestingly the bottom has an old mouse hole repaired with a tin lid, two locks and escutcheon holes remain on the face and appears to retain original brass rosette pulls, height 33 in., width 31 in., depth 19 in.
