This auction is for an amazing matched bolo tie and belt buckle. I found these great pieces at an estate sale of some Arabian horse breeders that had been in the business for 50 years.

These pieces are from the 60s-70s. They were from the collection of a Eugene, Oregon horse breeder. The elderly horse breeder was holding aretirement sale. These pieces were from her deceased father, she did not remember when he had gotten them except for having had them a long, long time.

The bolo and buckle are Native American/Indian in design and theme. It may be authentic to have come from a Native craftsman but I do have any way to know for sure. The initials JDC are on the back in a logo design with sterling in block letters below that.

The design is a maze (corn) picture with 2 pueblos. The design is the same on the bolo and the buckle. T is smoke coming from the chimneys and awesome clouds in the sky along with a sun. The maze theme is carried to the bottom pieces which are a small framed single maze design at the bottom of each tie. T are silver accent pieces that hang on the tie and the ends. T is a black background that I think is scored silver with black color on it. My silver polish wanted to take some of the black off with it. It is still t ok but it does tell me to be careful in polishing these pieces with silver polish creme.
This set was very hard to get clear pictures of. The silver sets off such a reflection no matter how I try, scanner or camera but I think you can tell how beautiful they are from what I did manage to get. The detail on the pieces is awesome.
Measurements:
Buckle 3" x 2" design 2 1/2" x 1 1/2".
Bolo 2 3/4" long x 2" wide, design 2 1/8" x 1 3/8"
Total length of bolo is 21 1/2" of hang from top center. The top 7" of each string is a flat leather piece that fits under a collar very well. The rest is braided quality leather.
The hanging pieces are a round ferrel that is 1 6/8" long x 1/2" wide; the bottom pieces are a same ferrel with a piece hanging from it that are 1 1/8" x 6/8" with the corn design in each.
The piece is sold "as is" but if you feel that t is a serious misrepresentation of the item you may receive a refund. The refund will be minus cost of original shipping. You pay for return shipping. Your refund is not available until the item is returned in same condition in which it was shipped to you. You must return it within 5 days of arriving at your location.
Payment must be made within 5 days of close of sale.

The reserve on this piece is just $115.
