A fine example of the Soviet Navy's 5-CHM submarine clock. It has an 8-day 12-jewel temperature compensated mechanical movement, and is quite accurate in use. It also includes the Bakelite mounting panel that allows the clock to be secured to a bulkhead (wall, to you lubbers out t, yet also allows easy removal of the clock. I believe these clocks were manufactured by the Vostok Military Clock Factory. It is ruggedly built, and is in a gasketed alloy housing. The face is over 5-1/2" and the base is 9" in diameter. I had this clock aboard my last two boats, and it has kept time through the Caribbean and the Mid-Atlantic regions. It has no signs of corrosion, and is good for many more years of use. Whether you are looking for a steady timekeeper or a conversation piece, this will certainly be of interest. It has been claimed to be depthcharge-proof......
