Soviet Union Young Pioneer Pin Set is a set of authentic Soviet Union pins for the Young Pioneers organization. The enameled pin features a portrait of Lenin of a Red Star backed by the flames of the Revolution, and the motto "Always Ready." Most young people in the Soviet Union were members of the Young Pioneers, which was founded in 1922 and disbanded in 1990. During World War II, many Young Pioneers fought as partisans behind German lines.The 10 membership pins are on the original cards, as they would have been delivered to the organization's leaders for distribution to members.
