ANTIQUE SOWERBY WALTER CRANE "Baby's Opera" Posy Trough C1880 No Reserve A rare Sowerby pressed glass posy trough decorated with a Walter Crane illustration from his "Baby's Opera" nursery rhyme book, published in 1877. The rhyme is entitled "Elizabeth, Elspeth, Betty & Bess" and I believe this opaque milk coloured glass is known as "Queen's Ivory" The piece is moulded with the raised Sowerby trademark to the base. ...................................... Dimensions Measures approx 16 cm ( 6 5 /16 ") long . .................................... Condition Overall excellent antique condition, with just a few tiny flea-bites and a few very minor manufacturing marks.Please see photos for condition. .......................................
