Space Race Era Microcode Linear Gage Used 1960s-early 70s Microcode IKL Incorporated Linear Gage features a 12-digit Nixie Tube display. Military lab surplus. Model 2-525.5BPX. Measures 10-1/4" D x 7-1/2" H x 7-3/4" W and weighs 10 lbs. 10 oz. before packaging. Heavy aluminum housing. English and Metric. Nixies are orange-red in color. Two lines of six 0-9 tubes, plus two tubes on the right for (-) signs. Unit powers up and Nixie tubes illuminate, but we don't have the equipment or ability for further testing. One note, when the unit first powers up, random numbers are displayed and one or two of the tubes is not lit. As soon as you hit both "Zero-Out" buttons on the right, all numeric tubes return to zero and illuminate. The tube for the (-) sign on the bottom left does not illuminate. Also, this unit requires a non-standard power cord. We borrowed a cord to power up the unit, but it does NOT come with this item. A close-up of the cord you will need is shown in the last photo. Unit was last inspected for electrical safety by the lab in 2009, but no information was provided on status or safety after that date. Good vintage cosmetic condition with some scratches to the paint and base. Due to its age, this item is selling "As-Is." Shipping: 14 lb.
